It took its definitive aspect from the 11th century. Coursegoules was a “Royal town” from 1620 up to the French Revolution (1789).

Leaning against the Eastern side of the Cheiron mountains, the village offers a magnificent panoramic view.
But you must stroll through the maze of narrow streets and stairs, take the time to observe all the very different door lintels, arches and vaults decorating the old barns.

You must not miss the view over the Cheiron mountains from the ramparts.
